Next came these environmental sketches, which helped me map out the landscape for Eric’s world and decide where I wanted him to stand and focus within the scene.

Finally, these are the prop sketches that helped me bring Eric to life. They guided the design of his clothing and spear, and also helped me determine the overall color direction for the final piece.
